I am trying to install a Windows Update Nividia from July 18, 2017. Tried 3 times - failed. Code 80070103. What does the code mean and how can I install it/

Technician's Assistant: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?

I have been on Dell since 2006 but I am definitely not professional. The usual home PC user.

Technician's Assistant: Have you installed any updates recently?

Yesterday I had 3 important - did it and all was okay. The Nividia update was marked optional since July 18 and by this time it should have been installed automatically but it hasn't, so I tried today.

I would recommend you to update the driver manually. Steps to update the driver manually

i. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.

ii. On the “Device Manager” window, expand the item, right click on the sub item and then click “Update Driver”.

iii. Restart the computer once the driver is updated.

If this fails then try to reinstall the driver

i. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

ii. Expand the driver and right click on the sub item and click uninstall.

iii. Restart the computer.

iv. Visit the manufacturer website to download the latest driver.

v. Install the driver and restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
