I have a Epson workforce 3640 that I have connected to my laptop. It will not print. Please help!!! Do you have a phone number to speak to me personally!
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Epson is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: It is a Epson WF 3640 purchased last year from Costco at the Madison Hgts, MI store.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: A PC specifically a Dell vostro 1500.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: The printer has not been working for a while. I have not had time to contact anyone during business hours. It has worked in the past.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I had my wireless router changed but entered the new information. The "soon will need a printer cartridge" light is also blinking.

First we need to uninstall all instances of the currently installed drivers.

On your laptop:

  1. Click on the yellow folder icon on the bottom of your screen (If there is not icon, click the start menu and click on "Computer" skip step 2 if you do this)
  2. In the window that opens click on "Computer" in the list on the left side
  3. At the top of your screen, click "Uninstall or Change a Program"
  4. In the search bar of the windows that opens, type "Epson" and uninstall all of the results that come up.

Please let me know when this is done so we can proceed to the next step

I had it set up for wireless. This is where I need help.

  1. Press the Home button
  2. Press the icon that resembles the WiFi Icon in the upper right corner
  3. Select WiFi Setup
  4. Select Wi-Fi Setup wizard
  5. Select your network
  6. Enter your password
  7. Press the enter button to confirm
  8. Select Proceed
  9. Press OK

Okay great, one moment while I type out how to change the ink

  1. Turn the printer on
  2. Lift up the entire scanner portion
  3. You will see the ink cartridge cover, lift up on that
  4. Pinch in on the tab of the cartridge you are replacing and lift it straight up
  5. Shake your new cartridge 4-5 times gently while it is still in the wrapping
  6. Remove it from the package and remove the yellow tape
  7. Insert it into the cartridge holder
  8. Repeat steps 4-7 for each cartridge needing replaced
  9. Close the cartridge cover
  10. On your printer's screen, select "Check"
  11. Once the check is done, close the scanner
