I lost my windows exployer icon on my computer. Can't access

Technician's Assistant: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your computer? What version of Windows are you running?

It is a Samsung laptop. Windows 8

Technician's Assistant: Have you installed any updates recently?

No. The batteries on my mouse died and I need to go get some. I don't do very well using the mouse on the laptop. So I obviously either erased it by accident or put it somewhere by accident.
