I (unfortunately) in-installed some Windows 10 updates (and few other programs like Google Chrome, Mozila Firefox, and Norton 16.0) and got the dreded BSD (Blue Screen of Death) !!! I need to re-install the OS (Windos 10 - but do not have the OS disk OR the HP Book Disk - CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME ?? :)
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact model of your HP? And what operating system are you running?
Customer: Model is dv7 laptop (came with Windows 7 Home Premium
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Yes - I had always allowed the Windows 10 to upgrade, but this time it froze up my screen so I tried to UN-INTALL it (and regret it now)
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?

Hi there and welcome

It should still reside on the hidden partition on the HP.

Power off the hp, then power it on and keep tapping F11 until you get to a menu.
