Screen remains black. At the front of the laptop there are 2 ***** *****ghts

Sorry secure remote will not work in this instance

Do you have a external monitor to test with?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Why are you unable to connect?

You cannot see the screen now on that laptop correct?

You are talking to me from another pc or a phone?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
the screen is blank and I am using an ipad

Ok try this please

Take the battery out again and put it back and then press shift, F8, and the power button at the same time

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I now have the two ***** *****ghts at the front of the laptop but a red light did show momentarily, I have carried out this instruction twice

Ok if that fails we will need to take out the CMOS battery and turn it on once and then install the CMOS battery again.

You will need to remove the keyboard first as the battery sits underneath that

Please hold on while I get the step for you.

I've checked now and there's no removable CMOS battery on this model

Can you hear the fan spinning if you turn it on?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
No the fan is not going

Ok please try to remove the battery and only power it on with the AC adapter plugged in?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Battery is removed, two ***** *****ghts still showing

Ok lets remove the AC adapter as well and do these steps

Push the power button 10 times in a row at one second intervals. Next, you push and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then you put the battery back in and push the power button

Thank you I have followed that instruction, the screen has the windows symbol on it, now showing date and time, right hand side of the screen show 1 tv symbol and ? Battery symbol, is this significant?

Ok great that means it booted up now.

Please press any key or click with the mouse and try to login to Windows

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I am now into the computer, how can I stop this happening again?

This happens very rarely but it might have been running on battery power when it was still logged into windows and died.

Please make sure the shutdown the laptop if not using and only on battery power.

Would you mind to rate my services in the top right hand corner on the stars

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Thank you, ***** *****'t think it was on battery power.

Ok very odd

Please use it and let me now if it happens again.

I will see if I can find a answer to why it's happening or happened.

Laptops do occasionally build up a latent charge while charging the battery, which results in the unit not powering on, removing the battery causes the laptop to discharge the built up charge. Sometimes you may also have to drain any residual power by holding down the power button for up to 20 seconds with all power sources, including the battery removed.

This is the best answer I can found for now - hope this will work for you.
