I'm runnig on windows 10 having USB 3.0 ports the MK5055GSX disk somtimes apear on internet explores and someone not. for now doesn't, not shure of correct drivers, what to do. Miguel

Customer: Windows 10 Pro I don'n know version. the mother board is MCP6P M2+N-68S+ perssonal assembled

Customer: Yes I installed the toshiba drver on thie page

This is a PC not a laptop the disk is on a litle box from aziocorp

The disk is disconnected and the case disassembled looking for a failure, so tell me what you suggest

No failure find, nothing disconnected or a chip burned so I thing could be a driver or a wrong configuration

OK. this is a PC personal assembled last year, I'm in Mexico, the Mother board is a A780LM M2 from Elitegroup 8GB memory a processor is AMD Athlon 1,300 Mhz. the two sata HD of 1500 Gb each and a DVD. the problem is with the auxiliary disk a MK5055GSX enclosed in a USB 3.0 case from Aziocorp it apears and disapears on the Internet Explorer so I can't make my backups

The toshiba disk was working correctly from january 2017 to june a day last week presented the problem

Okay, it sounds as if the hard drive within the enclosure is failing, or has already failed.

I would recommend replacing the hard drive enclosure from Aziocorp first.

Aziocorp stopped making hard drive enclosures and they aren't very good so there is a possibility that is the issue.

If that doesn't work, I recommend purchasing a new external hard drive.

OK but what brand? seagate, western, adata, etc.

The one I linked you is a Seagate.

I recommend Seagate first, then Western Digital.

By far the most reliable brands.
