i was working on a spreadsheet. Then a message pops up from micro-soft stating do not turn off the computer--i had contacted maleware virus--then the computer died. When I try to logg back on---i cannot. My key board does not work anymore

Is it a Sony Vaio laptop? or some other type or model?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
it is a 2010 sony desktop

Turn it Off, or do a Shutdown on the Sony computer in question.

Then, unplug the keyboard, and plug it in again firmly properly and completely.

(You may have to turn the CPU box around to do this properly.)

Then, turn it On again, let it boot up, see what errors or other problem it shows, and see if the keyboard now works.
