Customer Question

I just received an email advising me that someone had signed into my account***@******.*** using a program "DROIDX'. I don't know whether this is a genuine alert from Google or a phishing attempt. How can I find out. We only use this email address when we are traveling abroad - not now.
JA: Just to clarify, what email service provider are you using for this account?
Customer: Charter Spectrum
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No - except that from time to time updates are automatically installed by Microsoft.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't know what questions I should be asking. If someone is accessing my email account, it needs to be stopped. If this is just phishing, then i assume that I can just ignore the message.

It sounds like you have given an app perdition to connect to your account.

Would it be OK If I connected and went over this?
