got a m/soft message that my print shop 23.1 may not be compatible w/ windows 10. iis there an upgrade available?
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your computer? What version of Windows are you running?
Customer: Dell inspiron aio. using window 10 which came with it, and which has been upgrading itself
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: m/soft has.......i haven't done any upgrades to 23.1
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?

Hello. My name is***** to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with your reply momentarily.

We have several methods around this as it is not made for windows 10, but users still access it

without issue.

To make The print shop 23 work with Windows 10:

First Uninstall The Printshop.

Next uninstall net framework 1.1.

Run "regedit and remove all instance of printshop.


Install net framework 1.1 from Microsoft.


Install The Printshop 23 in its entirety to the hard drive.

Reboot and open program.

I do not recommend this. The uninstall can be brutal.

1. Close all instances of Print Shop.

2. Close any Windows 10 messages related to the Print Shop.

3. Place the Print Shop DVD in the drive and when the installer starts,

4. Select "Repair" from the menu. Let it run to completion.

5. Restart Windows 10.

You still receive the Win 10 incompatibility message when starting Print Shop, but it works normally.

The incompatibility issue is with Windows Insider Preview, the preview window that Windows 10 has on the right side of the screen, but it won't stop you from anything.
