I hit a prompt on my dell 3052 series to upgrade. Now the on button has gone red and the screen black
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact model of your Dell? And what operating system are you running?
Customer: Inspiron 20 3020 series. Windows 10
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No except hitting the Dell prompt to upgrade
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?

What did you try to upgrade?

There was just a prompt in the lower right corner of the computer from Dell to upgrade

Try this for me to begin.

Unplug the computer from the wall and take out the batter if applicable while the pc is on.

Hold down the power button for a full minute.

Put battery back in if applicable for your model, plug back into wall and restart normally.

we need to do this special trick to force a repair screen.

Start the computer, then immediately press and hold power to shut it down.

repeat that 4 times, and then the last time when you start the computer do not press and hold power.

It should go to a blue screen menu.
