Customer Question

I have an old dell System 4700, Bois Version A06 (1/10/05) that is getting and ERROR suto-sensing secondary hard disk drive. No boot device available. Does that mean that my hard disk is fried??? Or can I fix it somehow?
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact model of your Dell? And what operating system are you running?
Customer: Beats the hell out of me. I'm not very computer savy
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No. I haven't been able to use the computer for a few years and just tried again to use it.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Yes, I am getting an Error auto-sensing secondary hard disk drive. No boot device available message. Does that mean that my hard drive is fried? Is there a fix for it?
