Log on problems, long story,m foolishly scammed into believing it was infected, and gave them access to conduct scan and malwarebytes repai

Technician's Assistant: Have you tried having password ***** directions emailed to you?

Not the problem, they used their own log in setting, said they were finished, but didn't log off. Thot they haid closed files and programs, and I lkogged off, only being unle to log on aain.

Technician's Assistant: Have you installed any updates recently?

Yes, befgore they worked on it, should have known it was a scam since Norton security gave a clean bil of health. But they had worked on computer before and I trusted their verifying themselves, said they were connected with Microsoft server.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?

Yes, when I clicked out of their log on got a Microsoft system log on system restore or repair message. If I opted for restore I would lose any updates or programs installed. Opted for repair but never connected even though said it was running in background.

I'm not currently at the location where the computer is. I maintain an apartment in Los Angeles and a residence in Loma Linda, CA 75 miles east of LA. The computer is a HP Windows 7 Professional and it is in LA. I will be back in LA next Sunday, May 7 and we can go from there. I know Microsoft referred you, but once burned, twice shy. The fellow (he had worked on the computer once before) who tried to scam me also wanted to connect to the computer and I let him, ignoring all obvious signs of trouble ensuing. Typing this reply on laptop in Loma Linda.

Supposedly computer is shut down. Are you telling me you can access it without my presence? That's scary, man. What good is having security if that's the case? Either way, I don't want anything done on it without my presence there. Are you telling me that this contact with you is costing me $31.00 although nothing was done or resolved??

That is an auto pop up from the company...no nothing has been charged OR done

But I would need to log into you computer if you want my help
