JA: What kind of computer do you have?
Customer: windows 10
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?

Customer: I have another problem--when I install a printer attached to another windows printer, it does not show up in devices and printers?

Try this to see if it gets rid of the printer:

Close Devices and Printers.

Right-click the start menu button and select Run.
In the Run box type: services.msc and click OK.
In the Services window scroll down to Print Spooler.
Right-click on it and select Restart.

Once it finishes, open Devices and Printers and check.
