I need to check ti see what version of office I have --I can remember if i purchased it or have office 365
JA: What kind of computer do you have?
Customer: hp pavilion windows 8 I believe
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: no, I have a lotus program that does not deal with windows 10 well so I have to keep this version
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: yes, hold on... when I go to Outlook my system says it cannot find it, could I need a renewal for thsat?

  • Start a Microsoft Office program (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Click the File tab in the ribbon.

  • Then click Account
  • On the right, you should see an About button.

  • Then screen will present you with what Office version you are running.
