Did you just install Windows 10?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
no i have had it for a while, half a year
Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Okay. Power your computer off by pressing and holding the power button down until it shuts off. Power it back up the back down again. Do this several more times until you see Preparing Automatic Repair popup on the screen and let it boot to that.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
ok will do
Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Click Advanced Options, and then select Troubleshoot. Select Refresh your PC if you do not wish to erase data, or Reset your PC to erase all data and restore the system.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
only see System restore, system image recovery, start up repair, comand prompt, starrt up settings, got back to previous build
Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

No other options?

Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

If not try the start up repair first and let me know how that goes.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
start up couldn't repair, it says advanced options or shutdown
Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Okay well then you will go to System Restore then.

local disk (C:) (Systems) you must enable system protection on the drive
Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Can you select that drive?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
no it doesn't let me check the box
Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Okay, back out and go to the 12/13 date.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.

Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Uncheck the scan for infected program box if it is checked and see if you can click on the Next button by moving the mouse pointer over it.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
its a button option that says it, its not checked
Customer: replied 6 months ago.

Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Okay. I cannot remote in if you cannot get in so that won't work unfortunately... sorry! Can you click on the Next button to see if the restore will proceed?

last time someone got me to networking in safe mode
Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Okay. I didn't know that is how you got to that point? Windows 10 is very different when if comes to safe mode. You actually need to turn that on before you can access it from boot up. You could do system image recovery, but that would wipe your files and I presume you do not have them backed up?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
no i don't, ok then im screwed, im getting so behind on work, guess I ill just have to call someone to our site
Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Try to restart normally again just to see if it will boot. Make sure you do not have any flash drives plugged in or discs in the DVD drive when you do.

Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Any luck?

Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Let me know how you come out please.
