Hi there and welcome

Can you tell me please exactly where you are seeing the MSN news feed? In which program?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Windows 10
Expert:  Richard replied 11 months ago.

ok, thats is windows, but where in windows, in which program do you see it?

I can see you are a first time user to the site. What we do here is either a question and answer type of conversation or remote support where I would actually connect to the computer and have a look and attempt to fix the problem for you.

Remote support can save a lot of time if you are not comfortable performing repairs yourself. Sometimes even with instructions you can make a mistake and make things worse.

I will send an offer through for remote support and should you accept I will connect and see what is going on and fix the issue. Otherwise we can continue to talk like this but I will need to ask a number of other questions and try and walk you through some steps.

Both options are 100% guaranteed by the way. Remote is just quicker and avoids the risk of you making a mistake and doing something wrong.

If you want remote click get extra help. If not simply reply to me.

Expert:  Richard replied 11 months ago.

I am asking you a question, it was in my last message.

I will repeat as I asked which program you are seeing the news feed, but you replied with the version of windows you are using.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
It comes up when I turn my computer on. When I just just try to get on my email.
Expert:  Richard replied 11 months ago.

ok, and which email program then are you seeing it in?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
i'm not sure. can you give me an example?
Expert:  Richard replied 11 months ago.

There are hundreds of different program so it can be any one of these.

You see the name if it when you open it.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
well, I need to close this window to open up.
I use gmail. but the news feed comes on when I turn on explorer
Expert:  Richard replied 11 months ago.

ok, so it is then explorer you see it.

Explorer does not have a news feed though, it is a internet browser, which page do you want to see when you open internet explorer?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I'd just like to see nothing except an address bar. Is this possible.
Expert:  Richard replied 11 months ago.

ok, when you open explorer, click on the three dots in the top right then click on settings.

Then under open Microsoft Edge with choose Start Page then under that in the next box choose a blank page.

Once done it will open like that

Let me know how you go please
