JA: What kind of computer do you have?
Customer: It is a desktop model that came with windows 7 preloaded
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: The problem occurred after an unsuccessful update
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Can I get a copy of the operating system and reload it

Try and see if you can get to reset by restarting your PC from the sign-in screen. Press the Windows logo key Windows logo key +L to get to the sign-in screen, then hold the Shift key down while you select Power > Restart in the lower-right corner of the screen. After your PC restarts, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
