Customer Question

OK. First of all, I am an IT Pro, worked at the University of Idaho for over 30 years in that capacity, but this one has me stumped. Problem: I wish to install XP-Pro SP3 on a new Asus Sabertooth Z170S. I have upgraded the BIOS to the latest one. When attempting to install XP, first I get a BSOD and an error message that the mobo is not fully ACHI compliant. THis is no big deal since when I get "Hit F-6 to load.... I simply hit F-7. BUT, after the loading process gets to Windows is starting, I get another BSOD which says that there is possibly a virus on the HD, which is not the case since the HD has been completely cleaned and reformatted. SO...the problem is sometning in the mobo or bios. I attempted to find an IDE setting for hte HD in the bios, but that does not exist. Got any fancy ideas?
