JA: What kind of computer do you have?
Customer: HP laptop, pavilion dv7, Intel inside Core i7
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: My computer installs a lot of updates by itself, so it's possible.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: My printer will copy, but not print.

I do know how to uninstall. Do I need the disk to reinstall?

You shouldn't need the disk to reinstall. If it is plugged in via usb, just unplug the USB cable from the computer after you uninstall it, wait 5 seconds, and plug it back in. When you do that, it should work. Please, do that and update me.
