Customer Question

I am trying to setup a Linux box (UBUNTU) with a double-headed nvidia quadro fx 580 video card. The nvidia drivers work ok in their default settings, but I need to add a new resolution in at 1024x600 with 160 Hz refresh rate (this is for doing vision research with the monitor). The monitor is capable of this refresh rate with this video card (they work under windows), and so all I need to do is add a newmode in the xorg.conf file (I had thought). But I get a badmatch error for any mode I try to add (even those that are well within the capabilities). Do you know how we can force the rate change?

Hello Stephen, welcome.

What version of Ubuntu are you running?
