The system disk is listed amount those that can be defragged by the defrag utility. Whenever I attempt to defrag it, none of the file on the system disk are defragged. The operating system is Windows 7. Do you have any suggestions?
JA: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?
Customer: I have used it since February 2011.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: I install Windows 7 updates every month.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?

Hi, and thank you for your question.

The built-in disk defragmenter in Windows 7 has been broken for a long time, and comes with lot of bugs/glitches; it often does not defrag the drive at all, especially when a drive has gotten very fragmented over a long period of time.

To get around this issue, you may download and use a FREE, light disk defrag utility using the following link: (get the free version)

This utility should allow you to defrag your system drive just fine, and the results will show when you check back on the Windows disk defragmenter as well.
