Hello! My name is ***** ***** I will be the expert assisting you today.

I see that you are getting a black screen with a white cursor when trying to start your computer. I will do whatever I can to help you fix this. Give me just a moment to bring up the model of your PC.

Expert:  Jennifer French replied 9 months ago.

Go ahead and shut your computer down completely. Wait a few seconds and turn it back on. As soon as you see the ASUS logo, start pressing the F8 key at the top of the keyboard until a menu comes up listing different types of safe mode.

If it comes up, use your arrow keys to navigate to "Safe Mode With Networking" and press Enter.

If it loads into Windows, let me know and we will go to the next step.
If it doesn't, we will try something else.
