I do not know my password. When I try to get it Google says

I do not know my password. When I try to get it Google says they are sending me a new verification code, but when I enter it it goes all the way back around to what is your password, Google will send you another verification code. I can't speak to anyone because I don't have a pin number but they don't make that possible either
JA: When did you last reset your username and password?
Customer: When I first set up a gmail account back in I believe 2012
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: no
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
