Customer Question

Why is it that when I use Internet Explorer or Firefox as browsers in Windows 10 I keep getting "Script Error" message every minute on every page, but when I use Edge this does not happen. Is this Microsoft's way of getting everyone to use Edge? I like Edge a lot but since it's not compatible with my Norton 360 anti-virus protection, I had to switch to IE. What can I do to get rid of this problem. Thank you.

Hi there and welcome

Please do the following in Internet Explorer

Click Tools (the gear wheel top right) than Internet Options

Click on the General Tab and Delete all Temporary Internet Files.

Than click the Advance Tab and click Reset

Then restart and tell me if you still get the problem in IE (we can look at firefox next)

I have to leave this page then and go and do this. Will I be able to return and have you tell me how to fix this in Firefox? I am an old lady and not computer literate.

Can you tell me now how to fix Firefox too?

Thanks and no problem

For firefox, you go to this link please

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

Then click on refresh Firefox

This will then be done for firefox

I can also do these steps for you, and have made a request via Additional Services. This is optional, and if you choose to do this, I can, with your permission, remote into your computer while you watch and do all these steps (and deal with any problems that arise during them) for you. Or if you do not choose to take this service, we can continue here. This is no problem at all. Just let me know please.

Else let me know the results please.
