Customer Question

I have an ASUS-Z00AD phone. Lately I have repeatedly been getting an inoperable semi-blank screen when I turn it on. There is a bright center strip, top to bottom, with vertical black line running through it. The only thing I can do is to turn it off with the power button and restart. Generally if I do that repeatedly it has been starting and working, though sometimes I get a normal looking screen that is faint and again unresponsive. Can you help?
JA: What kind of computer do you have?
Customer: It's not a computer. It's a smart-phone.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: I've installed updates when notified. I don't think the problem correlates with an update installation.
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Hi there and welcome

As the first step, can you please go to Settings, Applications Manager, then press More and choose Show System Apps

Then locate Google Services Framework

Press it and press clear data

Once done, restart the phone and tell me please how it now operates.
