Customer Question

My Toshiba laptop recently has warnings popping up that the cooling system is not working well and to shut down and bring the laptop to a computer shop for maintenance. I am overseas far from any reliable place for this. I see that others have had this problem and they suggest downloading a Toshiba app that will monitor the cooling system and allow for fixing a slow, lazy fan. However, my laptop will shut down if it gets too hot before I successfully go through the process.

Hi there and welcome

This is usually a sign of clogged up air vents making the laptop overhear.

Can you power it off please then remove the charging cable

then use a vacuum cleaner on the airvents to get all the dust removed.

Once done, start it up again and tell me now it now performs please
