What operating system are you using?

Windows 10 I think, Lenovo flex 10 laptop, it upgraded my windows automatically a couple of weeks ago

While I do that please try to drag one of the photos form the memory stick and drop it on any folder in your computer and try to open it from there.

Ok let us try this procedure:

1. Go to: ***** ***** >> Programs >> Default Programs >> Associate a file type or protocol with a program

2. From the list scroll down and select .jpg JPG File

3. After selecting .jpg click "Change program ..." button on the top right corner of the window.

4. From the list that pops up select "Photo Gallery" and then click Ok

5. Restart the machine

Try to open them again and let me know if this solves it.
