When playing back messages most of the time the message is loud and clear. Occasionally instead of receiving a message I hear noise like static with a faint voice in the background. What is wrong, and can it be fixed?

If so, do u have it near any other electronic equipment like a radio, cable modem, etc? These can interference.

I u can, I'd try moving the phone. It may be an interference issue. If problem continues after u move it make a note of the person who's calling when the static occurs. They could be calling from a bad wireless connection.

Never had this problem with other wireless phones near the tv. Cannot determine caller because sound is too faint.

It was gift. Looks new. Former owner says he never had this problem. I believe him he is my friend who was trying to do me a favor.
