Customer Question

Good evening, I have a Dell laptop which has microsoft on it. An error popped up last night which said
Windows detected suspicious activity on your computer.
Contact Microsoft Technical support for immediate help.
Also, a toll free number +1-***-***-**** was on the message. My question is: is this a valid number for help with this problem? I am always concerned with something like this being a scam.
thank you
