Hi George: this, unfortunately, is a common tactic used by scammers on social networking sites. Often, they may even copy your pictures to the "fake" profile they've created. Their goal is to spoof your identity, and then bombard your friends and family with requests for money -- which they hope are successful since the requests will appear to come from someone the victims know.

In order to stop the scammer from using the fake account, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the impostor profile
  2. Click "..." on the cover photo and select Report
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions

You may also wish to file a police report, as this activity is criminal in most areas.

I hope I've been able to address your question, and thank you for using!
