Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be assisting you today.

Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

Have you tested with just the memory or graphics card to determine which one is causing the issues?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
This is a Lenovo product
I installed them at separate times
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

If you take the memory out does it boot?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
After I reinstall the old sticks
They are 4 1 megs
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

Download and install the Lenovo System Update program here; https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/thinkvantage_en/systemupdate5.07.0029.exe

Check for driver updates and update the BIOS using this program.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The new ones are 2 4 megs
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

Is it 32 bit or 64 bit?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
64
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Crucial's memory program advised that they would work
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have tried just 1 stick of the 4 meg each of the slots and a stick of the 4 with 3 of the old sticks in all combinations.
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

go through and update the BIOS first and then we'll go from there

you're welcome

Apparently no updated bios is available for this product running either windows 10 or windows 7
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Going back to the beginning, when I install the vid car, I get the same type of error codes.
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

what error codes?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
When I power it back up after installing any of the new devices it makes error beep codes and will not boot.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I am thinking that it does not recognize the memory on the video card as such.
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

can you take a picture of the memory setup on the motherboard?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I do not have any way to get it to you or any real way to take one. there are 4 ddr3 holder s 2 green and 2 black I somewhere found out that 1 +3 are paired also 2+4 are paired. (I have been playing with this for some time)
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

so you have the 2 new ones in 1 and 3, and nothing else?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have tried them in all possible combinations, including just 1 in each of the connectors on the chance that if I could get 1 to work, I could make it happen for both.
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

if its paired you have to have 2 in 1/3 or 2/4

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There is a possibility that I will be able to update the Bios, I have to investigate something in the online manual. I am sure I have tried that, but I will try it again.
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

ok

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
If I can update the bios, I think I will need a blank cd to boot from, which I will need to go and purchase. I will keep you appraised of the situation. Gnight ( I am presently on the computer we are talking about)
Expert:  Cody replied 1 year ago.

ok, update me on how it goes
