Customer Question

need help installing driver for I129V in Linux Mint 17.2. The adapter is built into the motherboard, but not claimed by it. I'm using a pci adapter at the moment, which interferes with other uses I have for pci slots.

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. The URL for the download for the driver is: and the instructions for the install are here: open a terminal and type the following commands : sudo su (password *****) cd « pathofthedriver.tar tar xvf e1000e-3.3.3.tar cd e1000e-3.3.3/src/ make install (and many lines of code-garbage-etc. should scroll along) modprobe e1000e (please be sure to be in the folder /e1000e-3.3.3/src beforetyping this command. Do a cd /pathpathpathetc.etc. command to make sure you're in the right directory) You should be able to see eth0 in the network configuration of your Linux, more or less at this point.
