If i were you, i would return it.ESPECIALLY if it only worked for 1 is considered a DOA Return Policy:You may return any new computer purchased from that is "dead on arrival," arrives in damaged condition, or is still in unopened boxes, for a full refund within 30 days of purchase

When you go to make the call to return this laptop, make sure you say...the machine just will not power on.This will save you a troubleshooting session..Furthermore.....the date and time setting sounds like a BIOS issue, which is the low level software that enables the system to START up. Basic Input Output System..The CMOS battery is what keeps the date and time alive.....but newer computer dont use batteries and instead rely on other methods.....and if the date and time is experienceing could be a bad BIOS. i would just send it back...opting for a new one.
