Customer Question

Have just received a message on another computer that Windows detected a threat it could not block. Multiple Error codes referenced, including 0x800705b4 and 0x8024402c and instructed o call "Microsoft Certified Technicians" at 1-***-***-****. Computer is locked up not responding and it is beeping. Is this a legitimate number for Microsoft assistance? Need advice on what to do.

Hello and thank you for your question, I look forward to assisting you today. This is a scam so don't call the number. Are your computers networked together?
Expert:  Dan replied 1 year ago.
Disconnect the infected computer from the network then let me know when you are ready to proceed.
