I tried to contact Magic online to renew my phone

Customer Question

I tried to contact Magic Jack online to renew my phone subscription. I reached instead a hacker or scammer who told me to pay him $220 to "fix the problem" I refused. Later I received a legit email from Magic Jack warning me of a Fisching scam going on. My computer is now messed up. What do I do?

Welcome to, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to assist you.

Did you at any point allow the hacker to have access to your computer? Or did you install anything the hacker asked you to?

I know you mentioned that your computer is messing up. So here are my concerns.

1. Making sure that no unwanted programs were installed, nor any critical settings changes made.

2. Fixing whatever is going on when you say your computer is 'messed up'

3. Last of all, helping you to renew your magicjack normally ( unless you have already done so)

Please answer the questions above, and then lets go over what seems to be "messed up" about your computer and we can get started.
