on the desktop where you have all the icons..right click on the empty space and in the menu that pops up click on display settings

in the window that opens you will see a slider for display size..if you drag it the size of your display will increase\decrease

try sliding the slider and check if it makes any difference or not

the problem is I cannot see the icons except when I am pressing this windows button

do you see the search box at the bottom of the screen

type display settings in the search box and then click on display settings option..then you will see the slider
