Using Win 7, Google Chrome, and Google mail for years without any problems. Now I seem to not be able to download files, the spell check often doesn't work?

Antivirus turns subsystems off, and will NOT readily recgonize a FRIEND from a FOE, when it does NOT know of every computer program in the world.

It acts on program activity, and not on its name or intended use.

If a program acts suspicious, even if it is just doing its job, by reading your text to spell check it, then it will be perceived as a threat, and stopped.
