When I try to use the backslash or question mark I get ...É or é and when I try to use the
quotation mark I get.....È or è also.
How do I witch back to the normal usages of these keys.

Can you tell me which version of windows you are using please?

Press the windows key + X and click on Control Panel.

type language in the top right search and Click on Language

On the right-hand side you will see an options hyperlink, click on it.

Click Add a input method and choose US

Then once added, remove the previous one.

It should then be corrected.
