Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Michelle replied 1 year ago.

ok...how old is the laptop and do you do regular data backups

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I think that it is 4 or 5 years old and I am behind on back ups about 4 to 6 months.
Expert:  Michelle replied 1 year ago.

ok..there are 2 possibilities here...

its either the hard drive or the lcd that could be the cause of the problem

we will have to try various key sequences to check the root cause

restart the computer and keep tapping the f11 key

let me know if there is any change

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No
Expert:  Michelle replied 1 year ago.

ok..give me a minute here...

Expert:  Michelle replied 1 year ago.

thanks for your patience

do you have a phillips screwdriver with you

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
a small one I guess
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Like ones for eye glasses?
Expert:  Michelle replied 1 year ago.

ok...what we can do is at times if the memory cards get loose that results in a no display on the lcd

so we can open the memory card compartment, take the cards out, clean them and reinsert them

to do this you need to unplug power cord and remove battery first

let me know once done
