I will gladly pay to be guided back into my Gateway NV55C laptop, because I know it is out of warranty, but my password ***** misplaced, so I installed the Gateway recovery disks (1to 3) were uploaded, installed, system re-established, or whatever, but always goes back to the "Windows could not finish configuring the system. To attempt to resume configuration, restart the computer." After many attempts, it ends in the same error window. How do I "get there from here"?

When the computer restarted, did you take the CD's out?


Have you tried to boot the computer WITHOUT the discs in?
