I'm sorry about the issue. What's the model of your laptop? Please check at the back/bottom of it.

Are you currently able to use the laptop or not?

The battery may be bad (which needs to be replaced), but have you tried the following first to confirm:

- Shut down the laptop, then unplug the power cord from the laptop

, then remove the battery for a couple of minutes, then reinstall the battery

, then re-connect the power cord, then turn the laptop back on and check.
