Customer Question

I upgraded my Windows 7 to 10 starting at 9:30 last night. I think the upgrade happened, but then Scanning and Repair began and hung at 3%. This AM it is at 7%. It is scanning my Seagate backup drive, not my computer. I can hear the hard drive pulling so it is working. What are my options? Thank you for your help.

Hi Betsy. My name is***** you for your question and the opportunity to assist.

Windows is getting confused by the attached drive.

Shut the computer down and disconnect it. (as well as anything else attached except for keyboard, mouse and monitor)

and restart your computer.

If using a laptop, only have the power cord plugged in
