I have been given the task of reviving a Gateway laptop M/N

Customer Question

I have been given the task of reviving a Gateway laptop M/N MX6439. [For a non-profit, where I do volunteer work] The HDrive has been formatted, which eliminated the 'Restore' sector. I have no OEM Disks for the XP v2005 MS Media Center OS. Due to that 'issue' I installed a 2002 XP Media Center OS I had on hand. For 'whatever' reason I'm not able to get the laptop find any Wi-Fi signal. Direct Connection to a Wi-Fi Router [RJ-45 network cable] with no positive result.
My though is that I likely need some drivers for the networking/wi-fi adaptor. . . if you think this may be correct, where can I find Drivers for this machine. . . if not what ought I be doing to get this machine working well
Plenty of Memory [4gig] Thanks Mike
