Customer Question

I just purchased a satellite c55-c5241 with windows 10.
Wireless connection has been a nightmare. ethernet works OK
I have an asus laptop with windos 10 that accesses my wireless at this location with no problem and also a surface tablet and a kindle fire.
The toshiba will acces the wireless but losesinternet contact sometimes it will hang in for 15 min. or so. The wireless setup seems to be similar to the asus but the trouble shooting when this happens indicates a problem with the IP for the wireless device. Rebooting the computer will reset wifi service temporarily.

I am the person that will be helping you today.
This problem is most likely an issue with the software/driver package for the wireless adapter. It can be resolved by uninstalling & re-installing the software for the adapter. I have typed up the instructions for you below that you need to follow.
Please, follow the instructions below:
- IMPORTANT STEP: Plug the computer into your modem or router with an Ethernet cable so that it is online.
- Hold down the two following keys: Windows key and the letter R
- In the box that comes up, type: devmgmt.msc
- Click Ok
- Click the plus sign next to Network Adapters
- Right click the Wireless Adapter's Icon
- Choose Uninstall. Uninstall Device.
- Right click another item in the list and choose "Scan for Hardware Changes"
- Choose to automatically install the device (click next > next > Finish)
After that is complete, you should be all set.
