Can you tell me please exactly when it does this scan?
And what happens after it please
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

As soon as I turn my computer on it starts a scan and has being doing a scan now for three days constantly, I tried turning my computer off but yet again as soon as I turn the computer on the scan starts again.

Thank you
Can you power off the computer
Then power it on and keep tapping F8 until you get to a menu.
In this menu you will see Safe Mode, choose this and tell me if windows will then start (it wont have internet and will look weird but that's expected, just tell me if you can get to this please).
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

But if I power off how do I stay in contact with you.

Especially if I have no internet.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Sorry but when you say power off do I just press shut down

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
sorry I thought you meant it never finishes the scan and you were talking to me from another computer.
If its this computer and windows does actual start then do this
Please click on Start->All Programs->Accessories, then right-click on Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator. Then type
chkntfs /x c:
Press enter
Make sure to note the space before then / and the c:
As long as no errors appear, restart the computer and tell me if the scan still occurs please.
