Unplug the video cable and the power cable from the monitor
connect the video cable to the monitor end and make sure its connected fine and then connect the other end on the computer
once you are sure the video cable is connected fine then you connect the power cable and turn on the computer.
is the computer on?
its connected via hdmi, dvi or vga cable?

first we will reset the monitor and then we will see if the monitor is receiving the video signal from the computer or not
press the menu button on the monitor and look for factory default settings and set it to factory defaults.

press the menu button on the monitor and use the arrow key to look for setup
press the source button on the select the window
reset all and select reset
select yes to select and that should reset the monitor.
we need to get into the setup option to get to factory reset.
can you tell me the buttons you have on there
press the analog button as its on the vga the monitor should pick the video signal if the computer is on
please check the cable its analog and not hdmi if you have selected hdmi it will not pick the vga signal.
check cable message comes when there is no signal received from the computer
