you have to modify a value in the registry

  1. Open Registry Editor (RegEdit).
  2. Navigate to the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

  3. In the right pane, look for Version registry value.
  4. Modify the value date to 9.11.10240.0.

this page gives more detailed instructions with pictures

to open the registry editor

hold the windows logo key and press R

then type

hit enter

then browse through to find the correct key by double clicking on the first valure ( hkey local machine) then in the list that opens find the next value ( software) and double click on it. etc. till you get to the last one. then modify the value.

if you are not comfortable editing the registry i can log in remotely to do it for you but there is an additional charge
