It seems some program/software is preventing computer being shutdown properly. Since system still stays in shutting down mode, the system may be in hang stage. I request you to forcefully turn off computer by using the power on/off button. Then turn on computer and disable unwanted programs from startup section

You can disable startup programs by this way:1: Click Start > RUN > type msconfig press enter keyThis opens System Configuration Window2: Click Startup Tab > Uncheck all programs except your antivirus..3: Click Apply then OKReboot computer Check status after reboot

After next reboot system won't load all programs by default but only when you run your specific program. This will increase system performance as wellYou may do a reboot then and see if everything goes fine..
