The reason is because they could be connected to internet service that is hosted in another country or territory. Therefore, if you were to use some kind of software to ping the IP address (which is similar tracking down the exact physical location), the answer that it gives might not be accurate as to where the person really is

Does this make sense? It might be a little difficult to understand, but just know that everything is electronic and therefore can be changed by the company hosting the person's internet connection

If you go to that one and type in the persons username

it will tell if you if they are invisible or not

This is likely someone else's picture that he found online

and used it to pose as that person

It's likely (99%), someone in Africa who does this for a living and can only succeed if they trick people into sending money. It would be advisable to be careful from anyone online that you do not directly know who asks for money (even if they promise to send money back to you, it's fake).

Yes, it will give you more information about others who have experienced the scamming experiences with this person

There should be a "Report As Spam" link somewhere on Yahoo Messenger
