Hello, and thanks for your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will help you today.

Is your tablet an Android or Windows tablet?

Was it connected to wifi before?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

its an android and it was connected to wifi. I also have a laptop which is still connected and still working.

Thanks Peter.

Do you get any error message when connecting to your wifi?

On your tablet, please go to Settings->About. What is the Android version?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

No it just kept saying searching and authorizing and then just disconnected, the signal strength was excellent.

Thanks Peter.

Please do the following steps:

First, please turn off your Wifi router (Not your device Wifi. Your home/work wifi router/modem.) for 5 minutes. Turn it back on and try to connect your tablet to wifi.

If that does not work, on your tablet, go back to Wifi Settings. Tap (or tap and hold) the wifi connection. Tap to Forget/delete the Wifi connection. Turn off your tablet and turn it back on. Try to connect to wifi again.

Please let me know if these methods worked or not. Thank you!

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

still comes back just keeps saying scanning

Thanks Peter.

Next, we need to do some Settings Reset:

  1. Go to Wifi Settings.
  2. Tap and HOLD your home wifi and select Forget option.
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Select Apps
  5. Select All (Look for ALL on top menu or swipe left to go right to ALL)
  6. Select Network Locations. Select Force Stop and tap Clear Data.
  7. Go back to All and select Google Services Framework.
  8. Select Clear Data.
  9. Turn off (shut down) your tablet and turn it back on.
  10. Test your issue with wifi again. See if your tablet will connect to wifi or still have the same issue.

Please let me know how it went. Thank you!

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

same issue, just scanning

We will have to Factory Reset your tablet.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Privacy or Backup & Reset
  3. Select Factory data reset
  4. Select Reset tablet
  5. Select Erase everything
  6. Your tablet will reset which will take about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Set it up again.
  8. Test your wifi issue again.

Please let me know if this method worked or not. If not working, when and where did you purchase your tablet? What is the make and model of your tablet? Thank you!

For photos, you can connect your tablet to computer. Copy your photos to computer first. When done, reset your tablet.

After reset, connect your tablet to Computer and transfer your photos back.
